Yippee. It all took a couple hours, but after standing in a bunch of lines, and dealing with mostly nice DMV people in Lombard, received both my car registration, license plates, and driver's license today. It was really sad having to give up my California license and title.

Yippee, all done and accepted. One freaking governmental chore behind us, one more to go.
Must now tackle the DMV. Oh, excuse me, the Secretary of State. ??? Can't believe I have to take the stupid written test again! And I liked my last pic, I actually had a good hair day and it all came out well. They'll make me take another pic, and with this unrelenting wind here, what do you think my chances of having another decent hair day will be, I ask?!
Wow, the thunder and lightning all last night starting around 5pm was really something! Shook up the apartment. Probably continued well past when we headed for bed.
