Drumming Guy

From Daily Meanderings
I love this one. Got it in a $10 bin, probably done by a student, oil on canvas, and I got a frame from Micheal's with a 50% off coupon. The energy and motion of the scene is so appealing and kinetic. Sometimes, I can imagine being in front of a fire with all the other villagers, dancing, singing and chanting away. Other times I imagine an urban setting, street, with all the other drummers, I remember sometimes over 15 guys showing up, all with their different drums, near the train tracks, just sitting wherever on the pavement. Where else, depending on the mood? .....

Red Jazz, Didier Lourenco

I have lots of art decor that's mass produced, but it doesn't detract from how pretty it is. Darned, all the pics aren't coming out great, camera is failing, and lots of noise showing up.

This guy was really popular several years ago, lots of his stuff showed up everywhere, including Target. We LOVE this piece, which is pretty good quality - beautiful wood frame, nice faux canvas. Got it from Costco maybe 6 years ago.

African Statue Shelf

Finally put this up after yrs - literally. The kitties kept knocking them down from the other shelves, and Ginza likes chewing the hair off the Thinkers, so I tried to put them up higher on their own shelf. Aesthetically looked more cohesive with a grouping too, I thought.

Probs: 5 holes, and missed a stud every time, too lazy to get the studfinder. Didn't think it'd be a problem - didn't count on Pixie jumps. So she might just rip this thing off the wall.

They're nothing special, just cheap buys from big-box stores, but I love them. This one's a favorite:
