Picking Up Steam

Well, things are starting to take shape - we've decided on the temporary housing, figured out the belongings situation, decided to sell the house if possible, and ... a road trip instead of flying, which I'm dreading. But, it's all in the best interest of the critters, AND, a big bonus is that we'll get to see my friend P's new house and her kitties! We haven't had a chance to see each other since D.C., and she won't get to see our house and I'm so sad she never got to meet Mozart, but I'm sooooo excited for her to meet the rest of our brood at last! So that's a really bright spot of that drive thing, and that I AM very looking forward to.

What I'll Miss About SF

LOL already starting down the "I'll miss this!" path. Seriously, this is one of my biggie misses - I love this view. Today, the fog finally lifting a bit and there's the bridge peeking thru.

Pixie Takes Over The Chicago Map

Hmmm....doesn't seem to be too enthused about the move, I think.

Moving to Chicago

Well, not jumping for joy here, but H's offer came in, and he's inclined to accept, so I think we're moving. Big changes coming.

Back From Chicago Yesterday

OMFG. FREEZING!!!!! For now, that's what I have to say about our visit there.

Very noteworthy, though - the people were so nice, everyone was very friendly to us.

Orchids Spiking Now

Poor catts have all been able to get a little sun every day so far for almost a week. Here's what was spiking, and amazingly they're opening anyway! Well, except for the one catt (not pictured). Observe the sickly pale yellow of the newest growths - also extremely fragile, one touch and they bruise. That's what happens when they grow without light.
